Event Details

Come out to run/walk and bring your family and friends for a fun fall morning enjoying the beautiful Virginia outdoors and fall themed activities and festivities. Take a free yoga class with Shine Yoga; shop our market with fall-themed goodies from local vendors including apple butter, honey, apple cider donuts, cookies, mums, and pumpkins; join kids’ activities including face painting, pumpkin crafts, and more; honor your heroes, whoever they may be; and celebrate 20 years of supporting your local not-for-profit hospice provider since 1981, Blue Ridge Hospice.

Because we are celebrating 20 years, we are pulling together something really special for everyone to enjoy — runners, walkers, families, friends, and people who just want to come out for a free, fun fall event.

We are so thrilled to host our annual run again this year! We can’t wait to welcome you and your family back to Blandy Experimental Farm and State Arboretum of Virginia for our 20th anniversary signature butterfly run.

All 5K participants receive: a Technical (Drifit) Event Shirt, a Chip-Timed Event, RRCA Certified 5K, Category Winner Medals and Prizes, a Post-Run Outdoor Yoga Class, free food pre- and post-run!

T-shirts are guaranteed to runners registered before September 30th.  We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but sizes are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Race Day Registration

There will be race day registration for $40. Participants will need to arrive around 45 minutes before the race to get registered for the event. T-shirts sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registers.
