A Dr. Dillis, a retired radiologist with a concentration in breast imaging and a passion for education of patients as well as medical trainees, prior to retirement was Co-Director of the Women’s Imaging Fellowship Program and Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C., where she also was an attending radiologist. Board of Directors Chairman Richard Kennedy said, “We are pleased at to announce two new members to the Blue Ridge Hospice Board of Directors, Dr. Charlotte Dillis and Dr. John Prescott. They bring a breadth of experience in the healthcare field as Blue Ridge Hospice continues to evolve to meet our increasing needs in a high-growth community. Their breadth of physician experience, leadership skills, and academic background on a national platform will contribute to higher quality and continued growth for the future of Blue Ridge Hospice.”
Dr. Prescott noted, “Blue Ridge Hospice has an incredible reputation as a caring organization, one that is continuing to evolve to meet the community’s needs for serious illness care, end-of-life care, and grief and bereavement services. My service in the military, specialization in emergency medicine, interest in rural healthcare, and commitment to training the next generation of physicians will hopefully allow me to contribute to the future success of Blue Ridge Hospice.”
“Blue Ridge Hospice has such a great community service reputation,” Dr. Dillis observed. “It’s obvious that the Board, the senior leadership, and the staff genuinely care about quality care and patient and family well-being. I’m looking forward to getting involved and helping in whatever way I can to support the mission and ensure the continued delivery of quality care throughout the communities Blue Ridge Hospice serves.”
