Joan describes the mental, emotional, and behavioral effects of grief as she recounts the experiences of the year following her loss and wrestles with the question, “What is ‘normal’ grief?”
Discussion will take place via Zoom on Tuesday, February 23rd from 10:00-11:00.
The book discussion is open to the public. Participation is capped at 10.

The death of a loved one can impact our desire to take care of ourselves physically and socially. This group meets weekly at Apple Blossom Mall for light walking and socialization. One grief counselor will be available to walk the mall with participants, while another will be present in the food court for visitation.
A Grief Support Counselor will deliver a kit of materials to create a luminary in memory of your loved one, then meet virtually to construct it and share discussion about holidays and grief. Children and teens will also have the opportunity to display their luminaries outside of Blue Ridge Hospice and share some words about their person if interested.
