As of December 2020,
Blue Ridge Hospice is still actively serving our community and continually monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in our region as it evolves. In keeping with our values as an organization, CDC recommendations, and guidance from the state, we have implemented the following guidelines to ensure the safety of our patients, families, staff, volunteers, and customers. We are still accepting new patients and we can be reached at (540) 313-9200.
We are continuing to care for our patients in their homes and at facilities.
Our staff have the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and training to keep themselves and your loved ones safe.
We have also implemented the use of Telehealth visits for communication with our providers and other clinical team members.
Inpatient Care Center (ICC) Visitation
As always, we are welcoming families who wish to visit their loved ones at our ICC.
The current visitation policy is one visitor per patient every 24 hours.
We are screening all visitors on arrival prior to allowing entry to the ICC.
Individual counseling sessions are available via video chat or phone.
We have postponed all in-person group counseling offerings.
Spiritual support is available to patients and families via video chat, phone, or in-person with face masks and social distancing.
Music Therapy sessions are available to patients and families via video chat, phone, or in-person with face masks and social distancing.
Administrative Teams and Main Office
Our administrative team members are utilizing telework and meetings are being conducted via video conference.
Our 4th floor Cork Street office is currently locked to protect the essential staff who are working. Deliveries may be dropped outside the office door.
As of June 20, 2020, all stores are open for shopping and donations (the Last Chance shop does not accept donations). For our customers who prefer to stay home, we have opened an online shop. Please visit our thrift site for more detail.
Our donation drivers are still picking up donations from your home or business. If you are spring cleaning while you are home, please consider calling us to pick-up your donations! To schedule a pick-up please call (540) 327-0402. Our drivers are continuing to use advanced safety practices to keep themselves and our community safe.
We have incurred a multitude of costs making sure our staff is properly protected. With no way of knowing how long this pandemic will last, we need as much support as possible from our generous community members.
